References Reference for Molly (see gallery above) I am the owner of Molly, a 4 1/2 year old long-haired Jack Russell, and have had to return to work full-time. Above all, I was extremely concerned not only about Molly's welfare but finding someone whom I could trust with her care. I did a lot of research trying to find a dog walker/sitter and upon making verbal enquiries with various individuals found that I was not happy with what I was hearing with regard to the way the dogs were being transported, the number of dogs taken out at one time, etc. When I rang Joan, she answered my main concerns. • A family business run from their home • Covered by insurance • Police Disclosures • Van that was fitted out to accommodate the transportation of dogs Joan came to my house to meet Molly and to discuss in detail the service she offered. I have not looked back since. I go to work knowing that my precious dog is not only cared for but loved as a family member. Joan and Malcolm also offer a dog sitting service. Gone is the stress and guilt - I hand Molly over knowing she is going to have the time of her life living in their home and taking part in family life. Unfortunately, just one week before a 3 week vacation, Molly snapped the ligament in her back leg, requiring an operation and resulting in a dog that needed to be restricted in a crate and requiring continual visits to the vet. Knowing the extra responsibility this injury would incur to them, Joan and Malcolm still agreed to have Molly. I was kept updated as to her progress via email. Molly was returned to me washed and all fluffy, still a bundle of fun and with a leg that was well on the road to recovery. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness. Also, I cannot close without special thanks to their daughter, Jennifer who has taken such good care of Molly. We have been using "Take the Lead" since last year and have found Joan to be a very trustworthy and reliable minder. We have a very large 'teddy bear' rottweiler and Joan had no hesitation in caring for her. We have also needed to rely on Joan a few times at very short notice and she has always been able to oblige, much to our relief! Our dog always had plenty of company and really didn't want to leave! We have always been totally satisfied with our dogs care and would have total confidence in leaving any pet under her supervision.
